Nominating Committee

MCRA’s election for its Board is held during the business meeting at the Spring Conference each year. At least two months prior to the conference, the Nomination committee prepares a nomination form and has it sent to all members. Once nominations are received, this committee contacts all nominees and ascertains the nominated reporter’s approval as well as a brief biography of their reporting career. When the information sheets are returned, this committee prepares the bio sheets and ballots and places these in individual ballot envelopes which will be distributed at the business meeting. After the vote on each office, members of this committee collect the ballots, count them, and announce the name of the new board member.
