A to Z (Promoting Our Profession Committee)
As a member of the Mississippi Court Reporters Association, you know what court reporting is about. It’s really about helping lawyers, judges, and the hearing-impaired do what they need to do, what they want to do, to help them succeed in everyday life. You have all made a difference in someone’s life. Some of you have even experienced that singular moment when a student who you are mentoring looks you in the eye and says, “You have given me my life back.”
Is that a moment you would like to share once again? Would you like an elementary student, a high school student, or a senior looking for a career to understand how you can help them, too? More People Need to Know
Raising awareness of the court reporting profession helps our business and the profession in general. As more students or seniors become better aware of the benefits of court reporting, the public perception of the value of court reporting services increase. To find out more about how you can help Promote Our Profession and learn how you can help get the message out, see Getting Involved.
While information about the profession exists in many formats, it has not been grouped and packaged to appeal to outside audiences in a purposeful way until now. NCRA’s Promote Our Profession Initiative is continually adding materials to help court reporters support and communicate the profession more effectively.
